Public Relations Account Coordinator - Health PR

Location: Nashville, TN. Candidates must reside in metro Nashville area for this hybrid work schedule role (working half week in-office/half week working from home).

Finn Partners is seeking candidates for an Account Coordinator public relations role, to join our growing global Health Public Relations Practice. Candidates should have a degree in PR- Marketing- Communications- Journalism and prior PR internship experience, ideally in the health sector. Strong communication and writing skills are required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop client content, including media materials (press releases, fact sheets, Q&As), online content, contributed article outlines, media pitches
• Build an understanding and knowledge of client business and their competitive healthcare environments, monitor and proactively flag trends and articles relevant to client business
• Assist the public relations team in devising creative strategies that use traditional and digital/social media
• Participate in media outreach
• Research key client information including business strategy, products and services, key customers and competitors
• Help deliver high-quality programs that meet and exceed client goals
• Participate in client account management public relations activities: calls, follow-up reports, media monitoring
• Work withteam members to respond to client requests and ensure requests are taken care of in an efficient manner

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills
• Prior public relations internship experience – or- 6 months of PR Account Coordinator experience, preferably in the health PR space.
• Ability to collaborate with team to execute successful media relations programs
• Solid grasp of basic media monitoring tools (Cision, Vocus, etc.)
• Understanding of the public relations industry and its basic principles
• Education about traditional and social media strategies and campaigns
• Strong communications skills, both oral and written (including editing skills)
• Experience using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A bachelor's degree
• Attention to detail
