Psychometrist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of


Health (NIH) supporting the located in Bethesda, MD.


Overall Position Summary and Objectives


The position will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Mental Health.


Deliverables


  • Work products and documents related to conducting clinical and research neuropsychological testing of medically ill and healthy research participants. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to performing clinical and research neuropsychological testing of medically ill research patients and healthy participants; schedule participants for testing. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to working with staff on research activities; perform statistical analyses; maintain supplies of testing materials. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to organizing and maintaining files and computer databases containing participant information and test results. - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to administering neuropsychological, intellectual and psychological assessment instruments (tests); train and monitor the quality of test administration/scoring of other personnel. - Ad-Hoc


Work Details


  • Work with staff on research activities; perform preliminary analysis on data using statistical analysis software.
  • Administer, score and summarize results for a range of neuropsychological, intellectual and psychological assessment instruments (tests) as guided by existing policies, procedures, directions, orders, and other guidance.
  • Initiate and complete scheduling of participants for testing; document schedule-related matters, including patient appointments. 3
  • Organize and maintain computer databases containing participant information and test results.
  • Monitor the quality of test administration/scoring of other personnel; provide and document training as guided by existing policies, procedures, directions, orders, and other guidance.
  • Organize and maintain participant files containing participant information and test results.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of testing materials is available for usage.
  • Conduct clinical and research neuropsychological testing of medically ill and healthy research patients/participants, working with a board-certified neuropsychologist; many of the participants will be enrolled in HIV studies as guided by existing policies, procedures, directions, orders, and other guidance. 2
  • Provide assistance with monitoring the clinical and research neuropsychological testing conducted by students and other personnel and report back to Federal Task Leader. This includes the quality of test administration/scoring of other personnel; and providing and documenting training as guided by existing policies, procedures, directions, orders, and other guidance.
