Summary Of Position


The Proposals Manager is responsible for researching and writing executive summaries and responses to RFPs and RFIs that effectively and accurately communicate Teladoc Health’s key messages, products, and services and how they meet a specific customer’s requirements. In addition, the Proposals Manager collaborates with the Proposal Development Director to define and implement clearly defined processes, leveraging best practices; to foster excellence, learning, and continuous improvement among team members; and to launch initiatives that support the team’s core mission. A critical component of this position is the ability to manage both deadline-driven RFP projects with team-level strategic and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, complex environment working with multiple stakeholders in different locations. business, functional, and response requirements.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead most complex RFP and RFI responses. Analyze RFPs/RFIs to understand the opportunity; manage process and timeline, ensuring stakeholders are aware of their role in the process; and adhere to department processes and industry best practices. Determine when proposal consultants are needed to support volume. Manage efforts of all contributors, including proposal consultants.
  • Contribute to Proposal Development team success by collaborating with Proposal Director and others to implement processes and best practices, enforce standards, and lead operational and strategic initiatives, for example in the areas of process enhancement, tool development or adoption, or cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in solution area for improvements in proposal strategy for designated solution areas(s). This may include leading custom proactive proposals, initiatives to influence RFPs before release, analysis of proposal outcomes and resulting recommendations.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders in assigned product area(s); proactively develop company, market and product knowledge; and ensure creation and maintenance of up-to-date and relevant content in the proposal content system in accordance with database and style guidelines and SLAs.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to consultants and new or more junior members on the team on all aspects of proposal development and industry and Teladoc Health best practices.
  • Understand marketing strategy and apply to proposal content and to individual customer responses through development of win themes and writing strong, tailored executive summaries.

Qualifications Expected For Position
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, e.g., English or Communications, or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience providing meaningful reporting.
  • APMP Foundation Level certification
  • APMP membership.
  • Ability to turn strategic goals into achievable and manageable plans.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with proposal database software (RFPIO, Qorus or equivalent).
  • Ability to identify opportunities for operational improvements, and propose and implement changes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, including custom styles and templates
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as Adobe Acrobat. Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience writing and managing proposals/RFP responses. Healthcare technology industry experience a plus.
  • Experience as a project or team leader. Ability to inspire and decisively address issues, and engage senior leaders as appropriate.


The base salary range for this position is $86,000 - $100,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
