Job Description

Full time (hybrid) Proposal Designer opening for an award-winning, educational design focused architecture firm located in the Crossroads neighborhood of KCMO. We offer an amazing office environment, friendly culture, fun activities, market-based pay, and quarterly bonus opportunities!


The Proposal Designer works with the firm’s Marketing and Business Development team to support the business pipeline and coordinate the pursuit process. This position collaborates with various teams to design aesthetic proposal books with exciting layouts and graphics, as well as dynamic presentations to share the firm’s story with prospective clients.

Why You’re Here

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or similar field
  2. 5+ years of experience in marketing and proposal design (preferably A/E/C)
  3. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office required
  4. Graphic design and layout skills required
  5. Knowledge of CRM systems such as VantagePoint preferred
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills

What You Do

  1. Coordinate the firm’s project pursuit and proposal production process, facilitating strategy meetings and work plans to meet deadlines
  2. Manage design and layout of firm’s proposal books, creatively presenting information and telling an engaging story
  3. Assist with content development and proofreading proposals
  4. Complete technical forms with accurate information as needed for proposals
  5. Assist with managing firm’s proposal and interview templates, keeping a strong aesthetic and maintaining brand consistency and voice
  6. Work with marketing and business development teams to strategize interview approaches and create dynamic slide deck presentations and supporting collateral
  7. Maintain ongoing Kit of Parts for various office locations to streamline processes and assist team members
  8. Assist with timeline management and response priorities when receiving multiple RFPs
  9. Assist with maintaining information including the project description, resumes, proposals and qualifications for the firm’s database
  10. Monitor industry trends in proposal and content development
  11. Support the firm’s overall business development strategies
  12. Other duties as assigned
