trajectory of educational excellence. We are set apart by our intensive focus on college preparedness, ensuring that our mainly minority and low-income students gain not only admission to college but also the preparedness skills to flourish in and graduate from college in four years.
We celebrated the college graduations of our founding scholars in the spring of 2023, along the graduation of our sixth class of HS seniors. Now, as we further grow our High Schools in the coming years, we need a results-driven University & Alumni Relations Project Manager to play an integral founding role on our Network-level High School and College Access & Preparedness team. Our University & Alumni Relations Project Manager will have the unique opportunity to build and scale our university and alumni relations strategy and programs, as we prepare to graduate hundreds of seniors each year across our multiple High Schools. As we scale, we will not only sustain, but improve upon our record of college matriculation and retention. This position reports to the Associate Director of Partnerships, within High School & College Access & Preparedness.
Key responsibilities: Steward our institutional strategy to build relationships with colleges and universities, with a focus on outreach to selective, full-need universities Build and maintain relationship management systems between the HSCAP team and our college counterparts in college admissions, pre-college programs, diversity and outreach, financial aid advising, academic advising, and other offices as appropriate, using Salesforce Manage and report out on alumni outcomes data Scale and execute on our Alumni Association membership surveys and programs Update our college partners on HSCAP and alumni achievements Develop and manage a scope and sequence of college visits and tours: for scholars to visit colleges, and for university leaders to visit SA Key accountabilities:
Develop systems and programs to collect and report out on alumni academic outcomes, majors, and learnings Cultivate a culture of leadership and service within the SA Alumni Association Partner with school-based CAP teams to ensure that at least 90% of selective, full-need colleges have SA alumni on campus Motivate and inspire at least 50% of SA alumni to be active members of the Alumni Association on an annual basis Ensure that 100% of institutional needs for alumni engagement are met on an annual basis We invite you to apply if you: Have a Bachelor’s degree; Possess impeccable attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills; Are a driven learner who is deeply aligned to the Success Academy vision of joyful rigor in our academic community; Enthusiastically seek the satisfaction of successfully managing highly complex projects in service of closing the college access and preparedness gap; Are able to form strong working relationships with a wide range of constituents, including, but not limited to: higher education executives and leaders, college admissions deans, pre-college program managers, financial aid officers, and college-age alumni; Seek to work at a fast-paced, highly collaborative, compassionate, start-up organization, where entrepreneurialism, innovation, feedback, and disrupting the status quo for the benefit of children are valorized, and; Are intimately familiar with the student experience of being first-generation, low-income, and/or an underrepresented minority on a college campus (preferred). As you go about your work, you: Are output and data driven. You are less interested in how much effort you put in and more interested in the results you achieved – and driven to achieve high impact results, at that.
