Job Description
Job Summary
The Project Manager will work closely with the Executive Sponsors of the Health System to support a portfolio of programs and projects within the Roper Saint Francis Health System that support strategic, quality, and operations goals. Working in collaboration with stakeholders from acute or ambulatory care, service line and Quality and Patient Safety leaders, and operations managers, the Project Manager will translate the stakeholder’s business needs into specific project plans through the development, resourcing and execution of tools, technology and tasks. The Project Manager will oversee the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing of the projects, providing progress reports to System Senior Leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, prefer degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field. MBA/MHA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in healthcare or project management required. At least 6 years full-time experience supporting large-scale organizational projects preferred.
Licensure/Certification: CAPM or PMP preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Primary Source Verification (if applicable):
  • Utilizes standard project management processes, tools, and methodology.
  • Develop detailed and full scaled project plans and schedules, project timelines, and negotiating milestones with the project sponsors.
  • Must be able to work independently and responsibly with all members in the organization including front line Teammates through Executive leadership.
  • Creates Key Performance Indicators to measure progress and results in a visual manner for quick understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop strategies/charters while gaining agreement with multiple stakeholders on scope and metrics to impact.
  • Identifying, tracking, and resolving issues that may jeopardize the successful completion of the project. Concisely escalate issues for decision making in a timely manner utilizing tools to educate and objectively recommend the best solution.
  • Ability to facilitate system wide problem solving using an analytical approach to prioritize and identify optimal countermeasures that will impact metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Utilizes MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with MS Project, Visio, and Collaboration Tools experience preferred.
