Full-time position available with the Health Department, Behavior Health Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. *Telework available after completion of 6-month probationary period

As a condition of employment with the City of KCMO Health Department, all new employees will be required to submit or provide documentation of receiving Influenza (Flu) Vaccination.

Responsibilities

  • Provides training and support to project team members and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Operates independently and will work under the direction of the Director of Health to support the development and implementation of department-wide process improvement projects and establish project management standards and norms for all staff who implement projects.
  • Leads the implementation of the Health in All Policies framework across City departments.
  • Develops and implements project management processes and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient project delivery across the department.
  • Prepares project status reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with internal teams, medical providers, health plans, and community organizations to successfully implement best practices.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules, including tracking project milestones and deadlines.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with project stakeholders to review project progress, addresses issues, and ensures alignment with project goals.
  • Monitors project progress and makes recommendations to the Director of Health for project adjustments as needed.
  • Develops and manages project budgets and resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
  • Consults with staff on developing project plans, including project goals, timelines, budgets, and resources required.

Qualifications


REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, project management, construction management, engineering technology, construction engineering technology, engineering, city planning, landscape architecture, or architecture and 4 (OR an accredited Master's degree in the mentioned fields and 2) years of professional experience in project management or project management related work; OR certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and 4 years as a PMP working in project management or project management related work. May be required to pass a preemployment drug screen. Must possess a valid State-issued driver's license.

Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.

Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
