: Project Manager (Healthcare Industry)


Role: Project Manager Term: 6-month contract (likelihood of extension up to 24 months)


Location: Remote (PST time zone)


Hourly Rate: $58.00 to $75.00 per hour (depending on skill and experience)


About the Role: We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Project Manager to join our team. As a remote position based in California, the ideal candidate will drive the implementation of a new partnership with a vendor to ensure our internal client members receive the necessary screenings and care. The initial contract duration is 6 months, with a potential extension up to 24 months. Hourly rates will vary based on the candidate's skills and experience.


Projects Managed: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing two significant projects in the healthcare industry:


  • Chronic Disease Management Pilot Project: Collaborate with a third-party vendor and a startup to conduct a pilot project focusing on managing chronic diseases for approximately 100 to 200 members. Tailored approaches will be implemented to reduce or eliminate the need for medication. Coordinate with the vendor, manage data-intensive tasks, and receive regular progress and result reports
  • Quality Initiatives Project: Implement quality initiatives to help members close care gaps and receive the necessary care they need. The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing data sharing and coordination, ensuring smooth project management, and understanding the data and process flows involved.


Responsibilities: The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the new vendor partnership.


Key Duties Include


  • Monitoring project budget
  • Identifying and mitigating risks
  • Overseeing the design and implementation of business processes and data flows for member quality information exchange
  • Building an implementation plan
  • Tracking and reporting project status
  • Developing and confirming project scope
  • Providing guidance on designing a member experience to encourage desired behaviors and actions


Required Skills: To excel in this role, the candidate should possess the following skills and experience:


  • Availability during Pacific Time Zone working hours (9 am to 5 pm)
  • Familiarity with IT-related tools, preferably Planview. Microsoft Project experience is considered
  • Experience in partnership development
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, Quality Measures, and Care Gap Closure
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, with a strong background in risk identification and mitigation, status reporting, milestone tracking, communications, and customer services management
