Position Overview:
The Technical Product Owner is responsible for owning the entire product lifecycle of technology systems, from initial concept to final completion, driving the development of innovative technical systems that meet customer needs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and stakeholders, to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget. These cross-functional teams may be within Molly Maid, the Neighborly family or external development groups. The Technical Product Owner plays a critical role in the successful completion of projects by monitoring progress and addressing challenges that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
The position works closely with the Brand President, and the successful execution of the role is critical to the mission, vision and strategy of the Brand and Neighborly overall. The Technical Product Owner will handle sensitive information that must be held in the strictest of confidence and is considered part of the leadership team and must act accordingly.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure system success and inform future system improvements.
- Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from initial concept and ideation through development, launch, and ongoing maintenance.
- Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
- Conduct post-project evaluations, analyzing project performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. their duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that system requirements are understood, implemented, and tested effectively.
- Continuously gather feedback from customers, users, and stakeholders to inform system enhancements and future development.
- Create and maintain detailed requirements documents that clearly outline product features, functionality, and user experience.
- Collaborate with FBOs, stakeholders, developers, and marketing, to develop and launch new systems, enhancements, and features.
- Performing user acceptance testing.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional departments, ensuring seamless integration of technical and non-technical components.
- Define and communicate vision, strategy, and roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed to the highest quality standards and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and accomplishments.
Required Attributes:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a technology-focused role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and deliver successful technical systems that meet customer needs.
- Proven track record of owning and managing the full product lifecycle, from concept to completion.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing.
- Solid organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Four-year degree required, preferably in Management or Business Administration
- Experience: 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
