Job Description
This is a remote position.


A.J. Boggs & Company (AJBoggs) is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to lead clients in Agile SDLC processes for government clients. The PM will coordinate product delivery, including change management, customer service, risk management, scheduling and budgeting, contract management, product configuration, systems integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) using PMM. The PM should have advanced business and requirements analysis skills with experience in customer relationship management.


Roles & Responsibilities


  • Coordinate communications, managing expectations of solution scope and timing
  • Set priorities and develop project plans
  • Work with business and technical subject matter experts to analyze requirements, including data modeling and process mapping
  • Gather user stories, system inputs/outputs, data models, business rules, and other system requirements
  • Provide front-line customer support to clients throughout life of engagement as follows:
  • Lead client-facing activities, including leading clients to adopt successful solutions:
  • Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of clients (e.g., public health or court administration offices) through performance consistent with their organizations’ values
  • Lead Product teams to implement new features and other valuable initiatives
  • Facilitate Sprint planning with Product Owners in Agile software (Scrum) processes
  • Provide leadership to Scrum Teams
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of clients to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behaviors
  • Document other system specifications (e.g., standards and compliance requirements)
  • Uses PMP Project Management Methodology (PMM) to organize, prioritize, and lead projects, including management of operations, scope, schedule, risks, issues, and quality

Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project
  • One or more years of experience performing product management or business analysis
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Two or more years of experience leading agile software development projects
  • Logical, decisive, proactive, and action-oriented
  • Solid organizational skills, including leadership, attention to detail, and multi-tasking
  • Basic understanding of information systems and security infrastructure
  • Able to manage through high levels of ambiguity and multiple requests from a variety of sources
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience


Desirable Qualifications


  • Experience with judicial or public health systems and requirements
  • Experience managing complex data migration projects or facilitating government RFP processes
  • Professional certifications: CMS, PMP, CAPM, CISSP, CISA, GIAC, SSCP, CIPP, CIA, IIBA, CBAP, CCBA, CCMP, AgileBA, or AgilePM
  • LEAN Six Sigma Certification is ideal
  • Knowledge of web-based software application implementations
  • Experience with HIPAA and HITECH security policy and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of computer science, business, or communications
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, or other PM applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment will depend upon whether the PM prefers to work remotely from home or in an office environment. Both arrangements are possible. The job is part of a professional, dynamic team that will periodically require travel. At times, this position can require long hours and weekend work. Travel is expected to be 25% out-of-area and overnight across the USA, for example to Michigan, Ohio, and Iowa.
