Project Manager - Commercial Contruction, R&D Lab Retrofits

Palo Alto CA or Fremont CA

Tesla is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be a part of a team working on the expansion and renovation of their Lab R&D facilities. The ideal candidate will come from a commercial construction background, with experience managing large budgets, and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. This person will coordinate and supervise all on site construction activities, track and understand all project costs at a fundamental level, write detailed and thorough bid packages while working directly with bidders about clear expectations, and work with state, local, and OSHA regulators to ensure a safe site environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience preparing funding and budgets for approvals
• Experience working on projects ranging in size from $500K to $20M
• Prior experience working in commercial construction.
• 5 to 12 years of experience in Construction Project Management for R&D or Lab Facilities
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Experience managing a team of 3 to 6 employees including managers, superintendents, and project coordinators
• Experience working with mechanical, electrical, or structural engineers
