BBSI is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for the management and delivery of technology related projects across various departments. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget, plan and designate project resources, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed. Consistently communicate with staff, vendors, and contractors, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Protect the team from distractions
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers. communicating expected deliverables
- Serving as a point of contact for contractors and vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Archive project files for future reference and use
- Provide project updates, adjustments, and progress
- Lead the team in working through project changes
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Creating long- and short-term plans
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
- Release any resources (contractors) who are no longer needed for the project
- Track project costs to meet budget
- Meet with contractors to review details and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Prepare scope of work and resource requirements
- Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of project. Present reports regarding status of project to General Manager
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Plan, organize, and direct the completion of specific projects while ensuring these projects are on time, and within scope
- Review the work of third-party vendors to close their contracts and pay their invoices
- Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Oversee complex projects for inception to completion, helping maximize company efficiencies. Defines main objectives of the project, its purpose and its scope
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Possess effective organizational and time management skills, be detail oriented, manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines
- Proven record for using good judgment and make sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems and take decisive action based on well documented facts
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Ability to develop an organizational culture that fosters teamwork, develop staff and motivate others to perform well
- Demonstrated ability to show good judgment and initiative and have excellent analytical problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, communicate changes and progress, displays a commitment to excellence and looks for innovative ways to improve and promote quality
- Seven years experience that includes all areas of plant manufacturing operations
- Five years department management experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to make persuasive presentations, use power and influence others and assert authority when challenged
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Aptitude for math and able to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures as well as proficient using business systems and computers
- Effectively control costs through economical utilization of personnel, materials and equipment
- Ability to adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organizational and individual behavior and comply with all federal and state laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to investigate problems, manage and resolve conflicts or crises and follow up
