What you will be doing
The Supply Chain Center of Excellence Department has an opening for a Project Manager – Supply Chain Center of Excellence This position is in the Boise, Idaho corporate office.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a driven and growing team within the Supply Chain Center of Excellent (COE). The Supply Chain COE team’s mission is to support performance improvements, standardization, and governance across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Strategic Sourcing. Our team helps support project execution, standardize methodologies, support pipeline growth, and provide expertise to our stakeholders.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing large scale business strategies across a multi-year transformation roadmap. We work with our partners across the organization and benchmark best-in-class leaders to continue to drive game-changing opportunities across Albertsons supply chain, strategic sourcing, and manufacturing. Main responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans in alignment with project scope, timeline, and budget for Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Manufacturing projects.
- Manage project risks and issues, identifying and assessing potential risks and developing mitigation and contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.
- Lead project team members in the execution of project tasks, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project schedules and timelines.
- Facilitate project meetings and communication channels to ensure project progress and challenges are communicated and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Establish and maintain project documentation, including business case, project plan, risk and issue logs, and other relevant project artifacts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and team members to define project goals, objectives, and requirements, and communicate project status and progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure project compliance with organizational strategies and industry best practices and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and post-project evaluations.
- Monitor project budget and resource utilization, identifying and managing variances and ensuring adherence to project budget and resource allocation.
What we are searching for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and delivering on time and within budget.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple, dynamic priorities with strong sense of urgency; able to deliver under pressure; ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines and expectations.
- Ability to work without significant direction; ability to navigate ambiguous conditions; build effective relationships at all levels of the organization; influencing others to gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
- PMP or other project management certification preferred.
- Position requires approximately ~20% travel to accommodate projects and business needs.
- Experience with a variety of project management templates, tools, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, manufacturing processes, and/or strategic sourcing.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working collaboratively; ability to clearly and professionally communicate to a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
