Project Estimator Jobs

Jensen’s Excavating is seeking a Project Manager Estimator to join our team! You will be responsible for estimating, planning, and managing a wide range of residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Seek bid opportunities
• Manage projects from pre-construction to close-out
• Other duties as assigned and as detailed on job offer
• Meet with customers to understand needs and identify project scope
• Maintain required project documentation and as-built information
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and project cost proposals
• Plan, coordinate and schedule equipment, labor, subcontractors and materials
• Read and understand project plans and specifications

Qualifications:

• Possess leadership and project management skills
• Have strong technical writing, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Have knowledge of excavation, grading and underground utility construction methods
• Knowledge of related OSHA standards and safety practices
• Be deadline and detail oriented
• Possess strong computer skills (Microsoft office)
• Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships
• Have strong analysis and critical thinking skills
• Previous construction related work experience

Requirements:

• 3+ years of construction/project management experience
• Typical work schedule Monday – Friday 7 am – 5 pm (other days and times as required)
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• High School Diploma or GED (Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred)
