Civil/Concrete Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Civil/Concrete Estimator that will be responsible for all aspects of estimating.

Responsibilities:

Review project scope of work, plans and specifications and communicate with stakeholders.

Estimate labor, material, equipment, and other related costs for self-performed concrete including formwork, rebar, concrete placement and finish.

Quantify supporting trades such as excavation, earth retention, dewatering, etc.

Negotiate subcontractor/supplier quotes and issue subcontracts & purchase orders.

Develop bid schedules and project schedules

Review specifications and contractual requirements with project team members

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent professional training and experience required.

7-10 years of construction experience

Experience in project management preferred

Ability to conceptualize and quote projects with limited specifications

Experience in blueprint, schematic, and custom drawing understanding and interpretation

Strong sense of urgency and self-motivation

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Ability to work on-call and travel occasionally
