Position Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, development and construction activities
related to Oleochemical processing and support facilities including utilities and packaging.
Involved in designing equipment, understanding unit operations, installing, starting,
and supervising projects, from conception to transfer to customer. Person should have
experience with and be capable of managing multi-million-dollar projects with little
or no direction, covering scope, timing, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities:
Designing, installing, and commissioning new production units, monitoring modifications and upgrades.
Working with inside and outside resources during the life cycle of the project. Preparing detailed Capital

funding requests.
Reviewing existing data and interfacing on technical issues with others – both internally and externally
Preparing and presenting data and reports
Developing bid packages, soliciting, and analyzing bids and participating in or awarding
bids and managing work.
Managing the cost and time constraints of projects
Managing and assuring workplace safety and delivery of capable assets meeting “customer” needs
Selecting, managing, and working with contractors
Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Responsible for Food Safety and Quality – Follow company Quality Systems and implement
Food Safety in the design, change, and execution or projects.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a variety of challenging but related environments performing
process, project, and manufacturing support in the food, chemical and or pharmaceutical industries
Preferred Skills and Leadership:
  • Demonstrated Strong Technical knowledge (mechanical, structural, chemical) with ability
  • Detail oriented, ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
to lead and influence. Familiarized with latest Project Management Procedures.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in areas of process design, construction,
