Are you ready to challenge yourself in a new environment? Molnlycke is now searching for a Project Engineer in Wiscasset who will provide leadership, direction, and technical skills to optimize operational and project performance (safety, production, quality, and cost objectives) through:


  • Provides effective leadership to local team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances working with appropriate management.
  • Applying Continuous Improvement and Lean techniques.
  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of projects, working with HQ resources when the project is initiated by the global organization.
  • Defines, plans, participates and leads projects.
  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
  • Act as a resource to machine teams for technical problem solving and application of analytical methods.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Works with stakeholders to achieve goals set.
  • Provide support and expertise to the R&D and Quality functions during machine validations.
  • Identifies and requests the resources necessary for all stages (planning, estimation, execution) of individual projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met. Negotiates with department managers or other key stakeholders to secure resources that are appropriately skilled to complete each stage.
  • Develop strong linkage and cooperation with the Team Leaders, Supervisors, Managers, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality resources to develop and execute continuous improvement projects.
  • Adhere to the Customer Need to Value process model for project development
  • Make decisions on equipment design with an emphasis on reliability and sustainability.

What you'll need:


  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of personal urgency and tenacity to find practical solutions to complex manufacturing problems.
  • Experience of leading projects/technical project management preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Experience developing and leading teams; Proven interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions.
  • Technical expertise with applicable manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Expertise in Lean problem solving tools and techniques preferred.
