Your responsibilities and tasks:

GEA is looking for an individual to support our project and procurement teams within the Chemical Business Unit. This individual will assist in the preparation, reporting and analysis of projects under the supervision of various Project Managers and help coordinate and assist in finance related processes, reporting and management tasks. Projects are based on GEA technology which typically includes various types of Dryers, Powder Handling and Conveying, Dust and Pollution Abatement systems, Evaporators, Crystallizers and Heat Exchangers. Opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate meetings and take minutes
  • Assist with creating and purchasing of project spare parts list
  • Issue and track project invoicing
  • Develop templates for the project team use in word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Assist with maintenance of project home site records
  • Lead project close in ERP system
  • Distribute and manage project essential data and reports
  • Assist with preparing reports and presentations
  • Attend technical meetings and seminars as requested
  • Assist with document control, transmittals and tracking documents sent/received
  • Issue purchase requisitions and other administrative activities using the company ERP system
  • Assist with project & test setup in ERP system
  • Assist in documentation review and handling for projects
  • Assist in on-boarding of new employees
  • Help ensure that the team is in compliance with GEA’s Project Management Model
  • Review project documents, budgets, and schedules
  • Assist with assembly of O&M manuals

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must be well organized & punctual
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be comfortable working in sometimes busy situations
  • Must possess good English language communication, verbal and written
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize & meet deadlines
  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments
  • Must be able to take initiative on tasks and follow up with others to make sure tasks are being completed
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must follow instructions well
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office products, in general be good with a computer
  • Capable of functioning with minimum supervision
  • 2-3 years project coordinator experience required, preferably with the chemical process industry or similar equipment or engineering industries
  • Willingness to travel up to 5-10%
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
