You will work on future strategic plans, design innovative business models, build industry partnerships, collaborations, help vet potential acquisitions and get exposure to international markets. This is a rare opportunity to accelerate your product and project management abilities as well as refine your interpersonal and presentation skills.


The URUS Management Acceleration Program is designed for fanatically driven, results-focused, agile, and daring individuals that are early in their professional journeys and aiming to accelerate into leadership positions. The program features 2-3 rotations at 9-12 months each in various parts of the organization with full-time management-level placement after the program. Senior leaders and executive team members serve as coaches and mentors to help program participants gain valuable on-the-job learning and development.


As a Business Analyst (BA) within the MAP program, you will collaborate closely with URUS businesses and key stakeholders. You will help screen, vet, and close new products, acquisitions and other business opportunities as well as create meaningful value for URUS’ cooperative members and clients. Responsibility will reach across URUS’ domestic and international markets.
  • Market Assessment:
  • Develop deep-dive and competitive landscape assessments
  • Deal Implementation & Integration:
  • Market/customer validation, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment; make recommendations based on data
  • Identify customer challenges, gaps, and pain points in our unique bovine space
  • Assess potential new geographies, customer segments, strategic partnerships, and/or sales channels
  • Opportunity Assessment:
  • Help manage and support post-closing activities related to new transactions:
  • Oversee URUS’ Deal Pipeline to track, rank and prioritize current deal flow and hotlist
  • Help select best-in-class companies/products for potential collaboration


CANDIDATE PROFILE


  • Minimum 2-5 years of professional work experience
  • Onsite at our world headquarters in Madison, WI (must be willing to relocate if not local)
  • Candidates with a strong understanding of/experience in agriculture will be given preference
  • 25%+ domestic and/or international travel
  • B.S. degree or higher in agriculture or business
Skills & Competencies


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work with and organize large volumes of data and manage concurrent projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate in evolving environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to create high level reporting documents and make compelling presentation to leadership teams and board
  • Knowledge of other foreign languages would be an asset
  • Exceptional financial and business analytical abilities
  • Proactive business relationship management skills with a commitment to completing projects
  • Motivated and able to influence others
  • Exceptional oral and written skills; strong decision-making capacity and critical thinking abilities
