Job description

LEA Architects, LLC (LEA), an established design firm with a significant body of award winning sustainable public & private architecture is currently seeking anexperienced Project Architect. As a Project Architect with LEA you will be involved in all phases of project development including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Your role will include management of multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full development of construction drawings and coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil engineering and other consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction meetings with client and contractor is preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture + 8 years of experience is preferred.
• Excellent working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
• Experience interfacing with building permitting officials during design and construction.
• Strong understanding of how buildings are constructed with ability to generate technical documents that succinctly describe the design intent and requirements.
• Applicants must have experience with the creation / coordination of the full spectrum of architectural & construction documents utilizing Revit and AutoCAD with skills managing the integration of supporting engineering documents.
• Experience with construction submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's, during construction
• Skills in Adobe INDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MSOffice, and Sketch Up are preferred.
• Sustainable design and construction experience including LEED and or Green Globes Certification is preferred
• Registered Architect (U.S.)
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and management skills
