Job Description

About The Role


You will provide instructional design and training presentation support for a Federal government client. You will independently plan, organize, and design cross-cutting curricula focused on the practical application of federal grant program monitoring and evaluation techniques. You will design a comprehensive set of iterative training resources and use these materials to facilitate training and workshops for the Federal government client. You will coordinate with grants program SMEs to develop and implement innovative approaches to content creation, learning tools, and training session design .


Key Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)


  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of educational materials
  • Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive
  • Lead the implementation of a monitoring training initiative for multiple Federal grant programs
  • Test and evaluate educational materials to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of the learners
  • Coordinate with program staff and the federal government to develop, update, and revise existing materials for the use of training presentations
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with Government officials and leaders
  • Analyze the needs and goals of the learners and the organization and develop objectives and learning outcomes for educational materials
  • Remain up to date on current and emerging educational technologies and techniques
  • Design and implement instructional strategies and assessment methods for in-person, online, and self-guided training sessions
  • Develop entire courses or training curricula and create training materials, such as teaching manuals, presentations, handouts, and student guides, discussion topics, poll questions, knowledge checks, and exercises
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives, effectively collaborating with all parties to successfully fulfill client needs
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support effective training
  • Develop a Federal government-compliant training plan that succinctly describes the timing and purpose of all training events – whether they complement each other, what elements are key or missing, and if they serve their intended purpose and outcomes

You will work as part of a remote team.


Required Experience/Skills:
  • At least 3 years of experience in federal program training
  • US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
  • Proven ability to speak to a wide variety of audiences
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive evaluation reports including structure, data analytics, graphics, and writing
  • Experience in design, development, and implementation of ‘training the trainer’ principles
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant, professional experience


Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Federal or state government consulting experience
