Job Description

Great Full-time Opportunity with Good Benefits and PTO.


This is a Hybrid Role. There will be a requirement to be on site periodically. Sterling, VA and Quantico, VA at present.


Must have a DoD Secret Clearance. Prefer Top Secret


JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous programs/projects, primarily undertaken in support of technical government contracts, but may also include other business projects as directed by Executive Management. This position entails a significant external, customer facing component and requires the ability to effectively communicate with customer stakeholders on both technical subject matter as well as program/project status information, including but not limited to resource acquisition/allocation, periodic status reports, schedule and financial details. The goal is to ensure that all programs/projects deliver or exceed the desired outcome to our customers and our organization.


This individual must possess excellent organization skills with the ability to identify, process and to act effectively on multiple interdependencies/issues for potentially concurrent independent programs/projects, including the ability to plan and execute product and/or systems deployments at a customer designated site. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to create and report on all levels of summary and detailed events relating to all forms of projects, are required. This person must possess the ability to quickly become conversant on our products and services offerings in order to present information with supporting collateral materials when necessary to external and internal stakeholders.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Program/Project Management

  • Interface with the customer PM, KO, COR and ACOR or other designated customer personnel to drive timely delivery of information and to address any issues that may arise (in particular contractual, financial and/or programmatic issues).
  • Work productively with executive management, department heads and the technical staff at all times to ensure risks and issues are surfaced and resolved in a timely manner and that we meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Identification and mitigation of risks to established plans.
  • On-going participation in ISO continuous improvement activities in areas of responsibility.
  • Obtain and maintain a solid technical understanding (at least to the mid-level of detail) of our products, services, our customers, and their environments;
  • Work with corporate recruiting resources to ensure timely action is taken on new and/or replacement personnel required to meet program execution and financial objectives.
  • Communicate technical concepts and issues at a sufficient level of detail with customers and internal staff to develop design, implementation, test, and deployment plans and/or obtain resolutions to customer issues.
  • As the company’s point person, attend and participate in all customer required meetings, which may entail travel to the customer’s site.
  • Work with executive management to identify and capture growth opportunities within existing customers.
  • Track, document and disseminate program/project status to the milestone level on a weekly basis, including milestones complete/upcoming, plan for the upcoming week, issues.
  • Create and maintain program deliverables, including but not limited to, IA reporting, schedule/status reports, labor hour reports, asset management and financial reports and data inputs in support of monthly billing cycles.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Lead the creation of all customer requested technical documentation packages, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and Implementation Plans and ensure timely delivery to customer.
  • Schedule, compile status input and lead weekly status report meetings.
  • Ensure workflow roadmaps are reflecting accurate status and work with department heads to maintain them.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess highly effective interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation operating within a diverse group of customers and staff.
  • Able to work independently, i.e., without close supervision, to achieve objectives; self-motivated with the discipline necessary to manage multiple simultaneously executing programs/projects of varying degrees of complexity within a technical environment.
  • Must possess highly effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to travel as necessary is required.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Demonstrably successful track record as a Program Manager in a government, system integration and/or professional services environment.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in an home office environment as necessary.
  • Demonstrable ability to navigate the complexities of government contracts/contracting while keeping the overhead involved to the bare minimum; experience with managing
  • BS/BA degree in a technical or technically oriented business management discipline with 10+ years relevant industry experience or 15+ years relevant industry experience with 8 or more of those years in a network system integration environment.
  • Must possess an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Must be a US citizen in good standing and possessing, at minimum, a US Department of Defense TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Agency based technical programs/ is required.


EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:

Must be proficient using business and communications software (preferably Word, Excel, PowerPoint, common Windows operating systems, and Outlook). Proven extensive experience using Microsoft Project is required.


Experience with personal computers, computer workstations and data-networks including an overall understanding of basic network components and topologies is essential.
