Program Manager - Adolescent And Young Adult

The UCLA Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer program provides all UCLA patients diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 15 and 39 with one-on-one support, education and comprehensive cancer care. AYA patients have unique needs and face many challenges exclusive to this vast age group. Fertility, psychosocial and psychological changes are just some of the challenges that patients face from diagnosis, to treatment and survivorship. The UCLA AYA team, along with the primary care providers, work to meet those needs and provide support during all stages of the patient’s cancer journey. The program also aims to improve cancer care delivery for AYA patients throughout the care continuum and across the state of California with a focus on clinical care, education and advocacy. The UCLA AYA Cancer Program provides age-appropriate psychosocial care for AYA cancer patients and their support communities, directs and assists patients with relevant support services both inside and outside of UCLA, and educates providers about the unique needs of young people living with cancer. The AYA Cancer Program Manager (PM) leads the day-to-day operations and sets and executes the overall growth strategy for the ULCA AYA Program. AYA PM is responsible for marketing and communications, including the development and use of the AYA website. At leat 3 years of experience in relevant fields. MPH or MHA preferred. Experience with project management and process improvement. Must have excellent communication and faciliation skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with AYA cancer patients preferred.
