Job Summary
The Massage Therapy program director position is a full-time core faculty member of the RSCC Massage Therapy program. In addition to the duties and responsibilities as a full-time faculty at RSCC (PA-24-01).
Job Duties
% - • Developing, implementing, evaluating and revising the Massage Therapy program’s master plan of education. • Coordinating the development, implementation, and revision process for the program’s curriculum design; including but not limited to, course descriptions, course requirements, and evaluation systems. • Creating a physically and psychologically safe learning environment for massage therapy students and a physically and psychologically safe therapeutic environment for clients. • Developing program evaluation to ensure ongoing effectiveness through outcomes assessment of quality indicators. • Preparing and maintaining the program budget within established parameters as needed for the program. • Overseeing the evaluation, maintenance, selection, and purchase of educational materials and equipment to meet the needs of the program. • Coordinating and directing the activities required to maintain program accreditation • Collaborating with others to meet the needs of students and program assessment. • Participating in the process of interviewing, selecting, mentoring and evaluating faculty (full-time or part-time). • Counseling and advising prospective and current students • Serving as a liaison between the program and affiliates/community stakeholders. • Reviewing clinical affiliation agreements to ensure agreements are current and/or initiating new clinical affiliate agreements. • Preparing annual reports for the Dean, college representatives and other agencies as needed. • Pursuing ongoing education in the discipline, instructional delivery and management maintain professional competency. • Collaborating with others to create a positive learning environment. • Coordinating Massage Therapy Advisory Board meetings - (Essential)
Minimum Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered TN License as a Massage Therapist with 5 or more years of recent experience
• Current CPR
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or higher degree preferred
• Prior teaching experience
