The Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) is seeking a Program Director to lead IMPACT, an initiative dedicated to expanding access to high quality, evidence-based virtual first care (V1C) for patients, healthcare providers, and payers hosted in partnership with the American Telemedicine Association (ATA). The Program Director will work with IMPACT's community of partners to improve clinical and health economic outcomes, enhance access, and provide a better overall patient experience.
In this role, you will lead mission critical projects to develop action oriented, open-access resources to advance the field of virtual first care such as the V1C Core Competencies, Care Transitions Toolkit and Contracting Toolkit. You will work closely with leading virtual first care companies, allied digital health innovators, investors, payers, and patients who constitute the IMPACT membership. You will also be responsible for growing the IMPACT community and increasing its influence to meet the needs of the dynamic V1C ecosystem. You will be the dot connector in chief, serving as the primary lead in orchestrating strategy and programming to lead core initiatives and continue to grow and foster the community of IMPACT members.


An excellent Program Director candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strategic planning: Setting priorities and identifying the best pathways for project success, including resources and stakeholders; contribute to org level thought leadership; develop and implement strategies to grow membership
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and coordinate activities with time-constrained external experts; a prowess for time management and delivering goals on time within the given constraints
  • Content creation: Ability to distill key messages from complex concepts to create action-oriented resources for audiences across the healthcare industry
  • Subject matter expertise: Advanced understanding of the current challenges in delivery digital health technologies at scale and the benefits that digital innovation can drive; externally recognized as a thought leader; skilled in identifying pathways forward in challenging innovation environments
  • Communication skills: Listening, writing, and speaking to diverse stakeholders including with collaborators, senior management, and public engagement; accommodating and successfully harnessing a diverse set of personalities and interests to get things done in a professional, collegial and responsive manner
  • Relationship management skills: Leading a diverse set of experts with a broad range of personalities, interests, and incentives to execute clinical quality work on a tech timelines and position DiMe’s work in healthcare at the forefront of the field
  • Leadership: Commanding the respect and trust of partners and advancing activities that meet their diverse needs; internal recognition from colleagues as an excellent leader and role model

  • Proof of excellence in relationship building with many external constituents
  • A Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or specialized degree in a health-related field (preferred)
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience independently leading projects

  • Proven success in advancing multi-stakeholder initiatives
