Responsibilities:

University Instructors (UI) seeks a dynamic Program Coordinator passionate about supporting students to lead our K-12 tutoring programs. In this role, you’ll work in schools to directly help students overcome learning loss.

University Instructors partners with schools to provide students with purposeful learning experiences led by inspirational educators. If you are committed to co-creating and implementing impactful instructional services for school partners to enhance student achievement and build local talent pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructors with applicable solutions to behavioral or educational problems arising during student instruction.
  • Manage Program Assistants (PAs) and Lead Instructors (LIs) for the UI program(s).
  • Monitor all elements of implementation for a school program, including but not limited to instructor attendance, performance, material distribution, and student achievement through progress monitoring.
  • Make data-informed decisions to adjust instruction, focusing on UI’s goal of student success.
  • Support Program Manager and UI Recruiting Specialists in placing newly recommended instructors.
  • Complete other duties as required and assigned.
  • Support a caseload of K-12 schools and integrate the UI team, UI instructors, and school-level staff.
  • Observe instructors during small group instruction; provide performance coaching to ensure effective classroom management and growth in student achievement.
  • Support collaboration efforts for UI internal teams (Business Development, Recruiting, Curriculum, Logistics, and Accounting) and UI clients (district partners and personnel at school sites).
  • Maintain open lines of communication with instructors throughout orientation and training, confirming knowledge transfer of program details.
  • Communicate and meet consistently with your supervisor to provide updates on progress, potential issues, and program concerns.
  • Provide coaching opportunities to instructors to improve instruction and student learning, including modeling best practices, coteaching, and small group strategies, observing and reflecting, collaborative planning, and more.
  • Complete required documentation following school visits.
  • Lead and facilitate instructor orientation and training as necessary.
  • Act as a mentor for UI instructors by providing direction, support, and encouragement in all aspects of student services.
  • Assist with completing, collecting, and distributing periodic (bi-weekly, monthly, mid-program, and end-of-program) reporting information for reports and surveys.
  • Maintain a positive rapport with school administration and staff.
  • Confirm and assign instructors to school sites; lead client partnerships by addressing their needs.
  • Attend client meetings when appropriate.
  • Inform your supervisor about changes at schools you support, including program observations, related to school administration and staff concerns, instructor performance and attendance, program setup, changes, and/or program effectiveness.
  • Oversee Program Assistants related to tracking and approving instructors’ instructional logs and timecard submissions for payment.
  • Complete Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) for instructors.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for advocating for and helping students succeed. Additionally, you will
need to:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Commit to working 35-40 hours each week AND demonstrate ONE of the following:

o At least 2-3 years of experience working in a K-12 educational setting OR
o Any similar combination of education and experience

  • Prior supervisory and project management experience.

Required Skills

  • Good time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.
  • An understanding of instructional pedagogies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of high-impact instructional practices and recognizing them in the classroom.
  • Building relationships on trust and respect.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Intermediate level - Microsoft Office Suites, Google Workspace).
  • The ability to meet deadlines.Strong ability to work independently, with little supervision, and collaboratively as part of a writing team.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Compensation:
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
