Responsibilities

Oversees day to day operations including management of facilities, inventory, and work orders. Contributes to the analysis of internal and external opportunities related to operating goals. Independently manages some or all of the implementation of assigned projects and outreach initiatives, including event and onsite group coordination. Serves as an expert on internal/external resources available to personnel and visitors. Trouble shoots and resolves technical problems. Participates in organizing and coordinating of department meetings and retreats, facilitating of tours and monitoring of visitors. Creates environments that foster innovation and collaboration. Plans for, participates, and occasionally leads assigned projects or innovation initiatives. Oversees coordination of internal and external project workgroups, committee and/or advisory board meetings, teleconferences and department meetings. Tracks metrics in database, occasionally helps with accounts receivable and implementation of policies. Perform other activities and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health, education, communications, or other related field or an Associate's degree with 2 years' related experience. Applied knowledge and prior experience working with various institutional partners preferred. Must have demonstrated excellent skills in leadership, communications, problem-solving and work organization. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and effectively with a variety of people at all levels both within and outside of Mayo Clinic. Must be proficient in desktop publishing, word processing, database applications, and web site development. Must be highly organized, efficient, capable of comprehending complex instructions and situations, able to manage several projects simultaneously, and able to function independently and exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
