Harris Govern is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Intern to support our Professional Services Department for the Summer of 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student to gain practical experience, acquire valuable knowledge in various aspects of legal service, and contribute significantly to our team.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and assist with compliance projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Professional Services Department.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand business objectives and translate them into legal documents.
  • Assist with the development and modification of contractual templates and documents.
  • Attend meetings, take notes, and provide summaries as required.
  • Draft and edit new Statements of Works for each product line in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Review, summarize, and analyze various contracts and Statements of Works (SOWs).
Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong academic performance and an interest in corporate law.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
This position will pay between $15-$20 per hour.
