Professional Big Data Software Engineer

DUTIES: Professional- Big Data Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to develop high performance and distributed computing tasks using Big Data technologies including Hadoop, NoSQL, and text mining. Utilize knowledge of JVM-based function languages including Scala and Clojure. Utilize Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading. Apply advanced knowledge of HDFS-based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM. Use Big Data programming languages and technology, write code, complete programming document, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products used in distributed, large scale analytics and visualization solutions. Interact with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded, and presented. Work in a highly Agile environment. Develop new concepts, method, and techniques. Create and deploy Machine Learning models. Program using Java and Python. Utilize knowledge of technologies including TensorFlow, H20, Kubernetes, and Flask.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology Management, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation developing high performance and distributed computing tasks using Big Data technologies including Hadoop, NoSQL, and text mining; utilizing knowledge of JVM-based function languages including, Scala and Clojure; utilizing Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading; applying advanced knowledge of HDFS-based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM; working in a highly Agile environment; creating and deploying Machine Learning models; programing using Java and Python; and utilizing knowledge of technologies including TensorFlow, H20, Kubernetes, and Flask.
