Job Description
Position Summary


The Production Supervisor or Captain is an exempt salary position that serves as a vitally important member of the SOLUT! team. This position is responsible for the management and overall production of assigned shift. This includes ensuring all safety procedures and production goals are being met while maintain our high quality standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Manages, directs, and supports 30-plus associates.
  • Effectively manages our team of Production Operators making sure company health, safety, hygiene, and quality systems are being followed; this includes OSHA, HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards
  • Ensures Quality Standard are being met by working with the Quality Assurance department
  • Assists the Training Department in developing new employees and in coordinating training initiatives for the shift
  • Leads our daily GMP compliance procedures including: accurately completing the required paperwork on a daily basis, verifying production logs, reviewing compliance with all sanitation, food safety and SQF procedures.
  • Schedules daily press and Production Operator assignments
  • Champions the Company Safety Program and ensures appropriate procedures are being followed
  • Works closely with the Maintenance team to communicate machine or other equipment problems/issues
  • Responsible for increasing productivity and efficiencies, continuous improvement, and ensures operators are working effectively and efficiently in a safe manner
  • Effectively conducts daily shift change meetings
