Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the presentation of cGMP and safety training to all PD operators to maintain compliancy.
  • Review and maintain daily Production Reports.
  • Ensure that operations meet scheduled production deadlines.
  • Review batch records and other GMP related documents for accuracy.
  • Maintain open communication with senior management.
  • Assist the Site Manager in scheduling weekly labor and overtime.
  • Coach, develop, and manage employees.
  • Ensure that the operations are within applicable regulations.
  • Interpret and enforce all policies, maintaining fair and even distribution of requirements.
  • Assist the Site Manager in the daily operations including scheduling and monitoring the manufacturing processes, equipment and facility.
  • Track training and attendance for all operators.
  • Able to operate, troubleshoot and train on all unit operations within his/her area of responsibility
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
  • For operators, perform disciplinary action, performance reviews and give employees daily feedback.
  • Ensure efficient use of company resources including labor and materials.
  • Operate facility in an efficient and safe manner to produce a quality product.
  • Oversee various manufacturing processes
  • Propose, lead, and execute continuous improvement.
  • Report quality events, perform investigations, and document results.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Initiative to be self-starting, willingness to volunteer to do things that would help the department and company meet its production goals.
  • High level of attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage employees
  • Strong leadership skills

  • Demonstrates safety awareness and qualified to safely operate required forklifts.

Education & Professional Experience:

  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (world, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory position is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in FDA and GMP governed facility is strongly preferred.
