Ethicon is recruiting for a Production Operator, located in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.

Under the direct supervision of the Facilitator of the Department to which he/she is assigned, he/she will perform all the required functions with the various manufacturing areas in accordance with the specifications, “GMP / QS Regulation” Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Rules and Employee Manual. Operate manufacturing machines making adjustments, changes and preventive maintenance if necessary.

You will go through a period of training, qualification and learning curve during which you will perform the duties of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use personal protective equipment according to specifications, to perform the work in a safe manner, complying with the standards set forth in the Employee Handbook and participating actively in the Projects, Programs and / or Training of Safety, Environmental, GMP / QSR, and others as required and / or special activities that the Company promotes to foster the commitment of the Associate.
  • Product Quality Inspection according to the specifications, preparing and completing the documentation of the different manufacturing steps as established by the specifications of the area.
  • To make (“Set-up”) proper assembly of your machine and “change over” configuration changes if necessary, executing basic preventive maintenance and product assembly according to the specifications and “GMP’s or “QS Regulation ”of the Area.
  • Cleaning the work area to avoid contamination and / or mixing of products, searching and verifying the batch components (“Batch”).
  • Batch Reconciliation (“Batch”) and transfer of material to the appropriate areas, also in processes or departments where the Certified Operators system is implemented, the Associate will be responsible for inspecting and disposing of the product according to the Quality Assurance Plan

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Degree (preferred university studies)

Experience and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of computer skills and the use of their applications (Microsoft Windows, MES, HMI, etc.)
  • Required:
    • Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages)
