Job Description

This position will entail producing world class automotive parts for our customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)


Responsible for all quality parts to be packaged in appropriate packaging provided. Retrieved from machine, or conveyor, the parts to be trimmed and de-flashed. Trim gate, flash, and/or excess plastic from part. Properly inspect each part for flaws and/or defects. Dispose rejected parts in grinder for recycling. If other operations or assembly is required to finish a part, then perform as needed. Label packaging as required. Perform Statistical Process Control functions as required. Maintain an orderly and clean work area at all times. Keep up to the speed of the machine at all times. Properly complete all required paperwork. Responsible for keeping work area clean.

Must be able to visually inspect parts produced; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust to focus;


Must be able to frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;


Must be able to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


Must have the ability to withstand constant repetitive wrist motion, prolonged standing, frequent bending, twisting, or stretching as often as every 30 seconds during a 8-hour shift.


Must be able to regularly climb ladders, stairs, climb or balance;


Must be capable of lifting up to 16 pounds on a repetitive basis up to 900 times during an 8-hour shift;


Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds;


Must be available to work off shifts (Nights and Weekends).

Must be proficient in mathematics;


Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos;


Must be able to understand and carry out verbal instructions;


Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;


Must be able to function as a team player.


Work Environment The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to vibration;


Is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat and cold.


Work where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Employee is responsible to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move rawmaterials or finished goods while maintaining the flow of products as assigned.


Comply with all FNG Texas policies and plant rules and take direction from supervision Employee must inspect his forklift each shift and update the forklift inspection log Maintain a clean work station prior to, during and after each shift Assist in training of fellow employees as directed by supervision All other duties as assigned


Able to operate a forklift in a safe and efficent manner as established by management
