WHAT WE OFFER
Position is for 12pm-8:30pm shift with starting pay of $25.00 per hour
The purpose of the Production Operator role is to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment, machines and lines. You will receive training to perform the daily activities and systems associated with processing and monitoring batches, documenting activities associated with batch sheets, and responding to urgent and critical issues that arise.
You must follow standard operating procedures and ensure that health, safety and compliance is your highest priority. This role allows you to learn more about our plant operations and can open the door to career opportunities with increased responsibilities.
This is a full time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).
Major Responsibilities:
  • Work safely, participate in all safety related initiatives and be an active participant in maintaining a “safety first” culture at the plant.
  • Start up and shut down process equipment
  • Perform data entry including entering quality information and maintenance work orders into various systems
  • Prepare, weigh, and add raw materials to various vessels
  • Assist with writing operating procedures
  • Communicate process mechanical and quality problems to appropriate staff members and assist with investigating, troubleshooting and corrective action
  • Learn reaction process
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments and wear personal protective equipment including wearing a respirator, chemical suit and hearing protection, when needed
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and move 55 gallon drums with drum moving equipment
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in using controls systems
  • Experience in driving forklifts
  • Experience in loading and unloading of hazardous chemicals
  • Experience in using SAP
  • Basic understanding of computers including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel
