Job Description
Job Summary:
The Manager of Production Control will oversee the daily production schedules of multiple maintenance shops and ensure that inventory levels are managed properly. Oversees ASRCC’s work production processes to ensure they stay within budget and enhance efficiencies. Responsible for consistently finding ways to improve the organization’s maintenance processes and structures. You'll be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with internal and external customers to the organization, scheduling and resource management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow of production staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Uses production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages.
  • Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to staff.
  • Oversees the work production process to ensure delivery of high-quality maintenance that meet customer’s needs.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of facilities, equipment, vehicles, and machinery used in operations.
  • Ensures production machinery complies with professional and safety standards.
  • Schedules maintenance and repair of equipment used in the production process to avoid downtime or delays.
  • Establishing targets for production output and employee performance, and monitoring results to ensure that they are being met.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Ensures appropriate production rate to meet service level agreements for corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Identifies any bottlenecks or delays in production; ensures necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing maintenance shops for airfield navigation equipment, weather observation equipment, and radio communication equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance shops
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing a supply warehouse
  • Extensive knowledge of work production requirements and planning.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Experience managing operations centers for encrypted satellite communications
  • Experience managing a production control/service desk
  • Proficient with computerized materials control programs.
Education and Experience:
  • At least eight years of relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
  • Work is remote with a 3-month onsite / 1-month work-from-home rotation schedule
