Job Description
What to Expect

The Tesla Production Manager will lead a high volume manufacturing team at Gigafactory Nevada located in Sparks, NV. The Production Manager will oversee multiple areas and shifts ensuring safe and quality production of essential Tesla vehicle components. A successful candidate will be capable of developing their leaders, driving results through strategic cross-functional collaboration and communication; while supporting Tesla’s mission to help accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

What You’ll Do
  • Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high-quality products against aggressive production targets
  • Develop supervisory teams for individual professional development
  • Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability
  • Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & an environment of continuous learning and improvement
  • Responsible for all shifts and zones of Drive Unit operations
  • Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas
  • Ensure production teams receive effective training and workforce development
  • Empower the production team to collaborate with engineering to improve product manufacturability and line productivity
What You’ll Bring
  • Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience working on production lines at Gigafactory 1 strongly preferred
  • BS or MS in Business or Technical discipline and/or evidence of exceptional experience
  • Fluent with common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
  • 5+ year experience managing teams of people in a high volume manufacturing setting
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
