Job Description

Position: Product/Content Marketer (Full Time)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Remote

Who We Are

We are on a mission to digitally transform fund management and gift administration to help fundraising organizations more effectively measure, maximize, and communicate their impact.

FundMiner, a B2B SaaS startup in the advancement software space, provides personalized fund management insights and automates complex and traditionally manual processes for fundraising organizations like universities, foundations, and nonprofits.

We are looking for a motivated Marketing Associate who will play a crucial role in supporting our product marketing efforts and driving brand awareness.

Who We Want:

You are a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is passionate about marketing and eager to learn and grow in a startup environment. You have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a creative mindset.

If you are excited to contribute to marketing campaigns, assist in content creation, and support the execution of marketing strategies, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

Collateral and Content Development

  • You’re also responsible for the proactive maintenance and upkeep of marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency in a timely manner.
  • You will create lots of marketing collateral, including website content, blog posts, LinkedIn content, and email newsletters along with print pieces like one-pagers, tri-folds, and postcards.

Marketing Campaign Development

  • With guidance from the FundMiner Executive Team, you will develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately sales.
  • You will also monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing reports and recommendations for optimization, including digital advertising and SEO improvements.

Community and External Relations Coordination

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating virtual events, webinars, podcasts, press releases, conferences, and events with key external stakeholders and partners.
  • Coordinate and manage the FundMiner social media accounts, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.

Brand Development

  • Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs, preferences, and trends. Stay up to date with industry trends, the latest marketing tech services, and best practices in marketing.
  • Collaborate with the FundMiner Executive and Sales teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with overall brand strategies.

How You’ll Measure Success:

Understanding how to measure success is key to any organization, and critical for a start-up. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) contribute not only to overall productivity but also to team engagement. As such, we like to spell out the measures of success early and review them quarterly to ensure we’re providing two-way feedback in a timely and consistent manner.

The KPIs for this role include:

  • Social Media Engagement and Content Performance
  • Website Traffic
  • Lead Generation and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
  • Net Brand Awareness
  • Email Marketing Metrics

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • BONUS POINTS: Experience with or understanding of higher education, academic medical centers, and/or nonprofit advancement work.
  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms. We use Buffer for social media management, Asana for project management, and HubSpot for email marketing and CRM.
  • Proven track record of success developing communication collateral (including some copywriting and basic Canva/Figma design skills), marketing campaigns, social media content, and/or email newsletter content.
  • Basic knowledge of market research and customer insights as well as basic analysis techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
  • EXTRA BONUS POINTS: Graphic design skills extend beyond Canva/Figma to Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills; an insatiable curiosity and growth mindset; and resourcefulness.
  • Experience with or familiarity with product marketing approaches, including go-to-market strategies and product positioning and messaging.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also being comfortable working independently.

Why You’ll Want to Work Here:

As a startup, our teammates have the unique opportunity to grow alongside our company. Roles and responsibilities will likely shift, and as an early teammate, you will have the ability to expand your role as we grow.

At FundMiner, we recognize that pay transparency is one method of improving pay equity across genders and other marginalized identities as well as fostering an engaged and positive working environment.

The starting salary for this role is: $55,000.

FundMiner also provides employees with:

  • Generous stock options
  • Retirement plan
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off, including a company-wide winter break
