NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking an early/mid career Product Quality Assurance Technologist to join our 7544 team. Your primary role will be to support our Oracle based acceptance activities in the Power Sources Technology Group. This role will also include backup support for our Production Stores area as well as potentially supporting initiatives at the Center level that involve the Acceptance process.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Reviewing data from the Production floor.
- Manning Production Stores when the primary custodian cannot be there.
- Being a resource to teams using PSTG’s Oracle instance for the first time.
- Working with the Production team to understand/accurate records.
- Working with the team in Acceptance to schedule/monitor acceptance activities.
Qualifications We Require
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
- At least (1) year of experience with managing documentation, preferably formal records.
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications We Desire
- Experience with Oracle.
- Experience generating or reviewing written documentation.
- Current Q-level security clearance.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience working in a production environment, preferably a ND production environment.
About Our Team
The Power Source Production Department has two major tasks. The first is the internal production of power source components for the Sandia External Production program. These components must meet exacting quality control requirements as well as meticulous test requirements to be shipped for use on Defense Programs (DP). Our second task includes the design, development, assembly and maintenance of various testers for the Power Source Technology Group's components and other products. We carry out electrical testing for both DP and Strategic Partnership Project customers as well.

Security Clearance
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
