Job Description

Position Summary:

Maximize third party enterprise-wide data management (EDM) tool, and business value through continuous product backlog management. Understand and research client needs to identify which product features will add value for stakeholders. Continue to act as the primary contact between scrum teams, product development and stakeholders. Reduce uncertainty in the organization by communicating with variety of stakeholders, including customers, business managers, and the development team to ensure goals are clear and the vision is aligned with the business objectives. Provide additional context around the product vision by creating and sharing the product roadmap.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Educates others in the department and organization on areas of expertise when applicable
  • Creates user manuals and product documentation
  • Facilitates the workload included in routine sprints along with the respective testing and regression-testing analysis and provide transparency to end users
  • Ensures all statements of work (including Acceptance criteria) are well groomed with precise specifications to provide concise direction for development team
  • Partners with IT in modifying existing data configuration to meet new and\or updated system requirements
  • Acts as the custodian of the product roadmap by being aware of third party scheduled upgrades; testing and regression techniques to minimize risk; coordinating efforts with third party vendors, internal technology group; related product owner(s) and business users
  • Interacts with vendors on technical issues and project initiatives as needed. Assists with escalation where applicable.
  • Supports the decision-making that sets the architectural design or chooses the agreed technology infrastructure that will host the new business functionality for a product or product platform.
  • Manages customer priorities in accordance with organizational strategy and the need to minimize technical debt
  • Demonstrates awareness of business plans and KPI definition(s) that will promote the value of the Gain enterprise data management tool.
  • Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with Customers\Users\Business stakeholders
  • Working toward being a subject matter expert of Simcorp Dimension (GAIN) enterprise data management tool
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming / Science). MBA or MS preferred
  • Experience with Power BI (or other BI tools) a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, verbal communication skills, and written communication skills required
  • Detail oriented, analytical mentality with problem solving, research, and follow-up skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and experience supporting finance/accounting/investment systems preferred
  • Advanced prioritization skills; experience with agile methodology a must
  • Intermediate knowledge of database architecture and design, SQL code (Oracle and Microsoft), and using Extract Transform Loads (ETL’s) design required
  • Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Experience in investment management desired
  • Experience with straight-through process management a plus
  • Experience with SimCorp GAIN a plus
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft SQL Query required
  • Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, S&P, etc.) highly desired
