:
Position Overview
This position holder will be responsible for the Business Development of Parts Product lines within Terex Utilities. Specifically, the candidate will develop a broad understanding of the Electric Utility Market, Customers and Products to fully develop and implement innovative and profitable product offerings. In addition, the candidate will be accountable for contributing to the Terex Utilities Parts Sales growth plans regarding new product sales, product performance, markets, pricing and competition.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Make recommendations for innovative solutions to improve our short-term and long-term competitive position, including cost downs and improved market share
  • In collaboration with the Pricing function, develop and execute pricing strategies, fully understanding Terex product value versus the competition
  • Communicate with dealers, customers, and the Terex Utilities Sales Team on product specific issues and new opportunities
  • Develop long term product strategies - Identify and implement new product offerings in collaboration with other function i.e. Sourcing and Sales
  • Create, manage and execute new product introduction strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position and the Enterprise
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation of our products and industry leadership
  • Lead development of the marketing plans to support the business plan and strategy
  • Maintain current knowledge of the competitive products and projects future strategies by competitors
  • Drive execution of strategic plans through extensive knowledge and research of customer needs, market segmentation, distribution channel characteristics, target market size, environmental and economic trends and financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
  • Understanding of the manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, financial, and product support process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations
  • Strong time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Strategic Thinker
  • Knowledge of business financials, business principles, and business processes
  • Strong focus on customer responsiveness
  • Five years' experience in an Industrial Machinery Aftermarket sector
  • Degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 USD.
