Responsibilities:
The Product Development Engineers II will be responsible for developing novel products used in the processing and purification of biopharmaceutical products. Responsibilities include:

  • Work cross-functionally with a team including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement through development and validation phases to support successful product launches; and
  • Improve or re-invent manufacturing equipment using solid engineering design principles and analysis tools to produce biopharmaceutical filtration products sustainably and efficiently.
  • Act as a contributing member within a technical team responsible for development and validation of biopharmaceutical filtration products and their manufacturing processes, including transfer to production facilities;
  • Apply solid engineering principles to lead and support product development teams to conceptualize, design, prototype, evaluate and validate biopharmaceutical filtration products using current and new manufacturing processes;
10% domestic travel required per year.
Education and Experience Requirements:
The Employer requires a Master's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related engineering field, as well as at least three (3) years of work experience in any occupation with new product development within a production or manufacturing environment utilizing the product development lifecycle. In addition, the Employer requires the following:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis methods gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
2. Demonstrated ability with technical reports, technical presentations, and manufacturing documentation gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
3. Demonstrated knowledge of polymeric materials and manufacturing techniques including injection molding and 3D printing gained through at least one (1) year of work experience or the completion of at least four (4) post-secondary level courses related to polymeric materials or manufacturing techniques; and
4. Demonstrated ability writing reports and communicating across an organization utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint gained through at least two (2) years of work experience.
All years of experience and coursework may be gained concurrently.
