Job Title: Product Design Engineer

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: M-F 9 am – 5 pm.

Summary:

FLOS USA Inc. is looking for a skilled Product Engineer to join our engineering team. Successful candidate should have experience with AutoCAD (2D/3D) and Solidworks, ability to read and understand technical design drawings and data sheets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Advise and assist the Flos sales team with technical questions and providing solutions
• Provide expertise around various LED wiring, dimming protocols, and driver compatibility, including (but not exclusive to) COB LED and LED tape.
• Proficient in Solidworks and/or AutoCAD, ability to create 3D models/ drawings.
• Ability to communicate and produce shop/ parts drawings for production.
• Review and advise on CAD drawings provided by client of site conditions for structural
• Produce detailed part drawings /shop drawings for production and vendor communication.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously through all stages of production from design development, production, assembly, and installation instructions.
• Communicate across multiple functional teams to coordinate project activities (this includes project timeline, drawing submissions/revisions, client expectation-setting).
• Multitasking and time management skills.
• Create a detailed Bill of Materials for each individual project and work with Procurement to acquire needed materials for each project.
• Collaborate with purchasing and pre-sales for Quotations, feasibility, and potential technical difficulties.
• Design, develop, and engineer client's conceptual ideas into functional lighting fixtures.
