Position: SCPFO Procurement Consultant

Location: Columbus, OH 43215 – hybrid (Tues-Thurs)

Duration: 1-year c2h

Pay Rate: $38/hr

Must Haves:

• Procurement/Supply Chain sourcing experience, preferably within the utilities/construction/manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field
• ***Technology Sourcing and Contracting experience.
• Ability to help develop and evolve category management processes and engage suppliers on operational, strategic, and financial issues.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience, including experience working with cross-functional teams is required

Plusses:

• Ability to lead multiple sourcing events and initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired.

Day to Day:

Serves as the subject matter expert in the development of sourcing strategy and running sourcing events associated with the procurement of Technology service, hardware infrastructure and software applications and products supporting the technology organization. Understands key business interests of company and third parties in the development and writing of the business deal and value proposition. Applies negotiation techniques and methods to sourcing and contracting objectives. Manages sourcing events from beginning to end, contract compliance, risk, and other areas that support over-arching category management strategies. Leads sourcing events with multiple suppliers, cross-functional teams and may direct lower-level activities associated with sourcing or contracting efforts.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

• Coordinates and leads cross-functional category teams during sourcing events.
• Leverages market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform category strategies and competitive solicitations (e.g. RFXs).
• Assesses business requirements, and matches procurement plans accordingly.
• Writes the summary and details for basic to moderately complex contracts, including pricing, business requirements, performance criteria, terms and conditions, and any risk mitigations.
• Procures products and services with a high value or complex requirements.
• Executes sourcing strategies based on category manager guidance and leading practices.
• Leverages contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize contract value.
• Performs any required contract administration work related to a sourcing event.
• Develops negotiating strategy and leads negotiations.
• Establishes effective relationships with business partners and suppliers to support category strategies.
