Our client, a multinational toy manufacturer and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Procurement Analyst to join their Global Procurement Logistics team in El Segundo, CA! This is an hybrid onsite role so local candidates are required.
***This is an 8 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert***
The Global Procurement Logistics team drives the procurement of goods and services needed to support the company’s global operations. As a Procurement Analyst, you will have the opportunity to actively support the strategic roadmap execution, analyze and provide visibility on internal and external metrics that drive decision making, support RFP execution, and implement controls that mitigate business and compliance risks.
This role will actively support the procurement of Ocean Freight for Global Logistics with the company’s Global Procurement Policy. This includes maintaining the global activity roadmap, developing a Procurement KPI dashboard, supporting the Global Logistics Procurement team with complex RFPs, logistics network spend analysis, managing a contract database, and assisting in tail spend management!
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison with Indirect Procurement teams for administrative process efficiency
- Analyze and report on ocean freight total cost
- Track and report ocean freight performance by lane
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers
- Work with Finance on reporting and forecasting
- Lead communications with Logistics teams at origin and destination
- Execute internal controls requirements per region
- Support the freight audit process with the regional AP teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience working with Business Information systems; knowledge or experience with Oracle or Coupa systems is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with all levels of the workforce including senior leadership and executive management
- Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and Procure to Pay processes
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working in procurement/supply chain
