Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Is pursuing or has acquired electrical green badge certification or comparable/similar industry equivalent/standard.
  • Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
  • Coordinate, perform, and document PMs.
  • Successfully complete the requirements for line certification.
  • Maintain current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications.
  • Monitor equipment and process status for new products and new installations.
  • Able to perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve throughput.
  • Under minimal supervision performs all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and adjust the process to improve the throughput. Responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment while adhering to all quality and safety procedures. (70%)
  • Trains new technicians and cross trains peers. (5%)
  • Responsible for performing PMs. (10%)
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation for adherence to GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations. (5%)
  • Performs routine cleaning and clearing of equipment jams. Performs non-routine maintenance, including clearing of jams. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. (5%)

  • Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:
    • Process improvement
    • PLC systems
    • Electromechanical devices
    • Robotic/servo systems
    • Safety devices
    • Equipment installation
    • Debug and qualification
    • Control circuitry development
    • Electromechanical troubleshooting/repair
    • Equipment prototyping
    • Production start-up
    • Equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical parts design, tooling experience, materials/metal working, and mechanical power transmission
  • Equipment installation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Competent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in an empowered work team environment.
  • PLC systems
  • Debug and qualification
  • Electromechanical troubleshooting/repair
  • Equipment process development and mechanical devices, controller, mechanical parts design, tooling experience, materials/metal working, and mechanical power transmission

  • A minimum of 2+ years in college in technical discipline (or equivalent), emphasizing electro-mechanical, PLC, pneumatics is preferred.

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
