Summary:


Title: Process Technician


Employment Type: Contract - Potential full time for experience candidates


Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST


  • 2 days on 2 days off-3 days on 2 days off
  • Must be able to work 2 weekends (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) each month
  • 34.5 hrs. one week- 46.0 hrs. one week=10.0 hrs. OT

About this role:


Use your technical and troubleshooting skills to good use in producing high quality eye care equipment. We partner with eye care professionals to provide some of the world’s leading products and technologies to address refractive error, cataracts, dry eye, and beyond. We are committed to using our reach and size for good, and strive to put quality eye care within reach of everyone, everywhere.


Core Tasks - In this job, you will:


  • Perform all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment.
  • Coordinate, perform, and document troubleshooting activities
  • Perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Successfully complete the requirements for line certification.
  • Perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve throughput.
  • Maintain current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications.
  • Monitor equipment and process status for new products and new installations.


General Skills and Abilities - You:


  • Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering and crawling
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks required
  • Ability to communicate, written and verbally, in order to describe troubleshooting issues, working with a team, or documenting processes


Digital/Technical Skills & Tools - You have the following digital skills*:


  • Intermediate ability to analyze data and read data graphs to help troubleshoot machinery issues
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues


Required skill level*


  • Basic - e.g., I can do this in simple situations with close or extensive guidance
  • Expert - e.g., I can do this in exceptionally difficult situations with no guidance and I can be a key resource for others.
  • Intermediate - e.g., I can do this in most situations, with occasional guidance


Education/Knowledge


  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic fundamentals required
  • High School Diploma
  • This position will require candidates to complete the Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Test


Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal)


  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Pneumatic work is a nice to have but not required
