Process Quality Engineer Jobs

Summary
As a Process Quality Engineer, you will oversee the activities associated with the manufacturing processes in a job shop environment to ensure operational excellence. You will lead and support site quality and lean initiatives. The position will work within’ and lead the team to identify and develop area’s for improvement. You will ensure cost-efficiency and conformance to standards.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Lead and drive daily management initiatives to define and meet targets.
• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
• Identify contributors to in-efficiencies leading to margin erosion and develop strategies and initiatives to improve financial results.
• Lead and drive lean activities resulting in improved processes to drive quality, on-time delivery and financial results.
• Provide support on non-conformance management. Work with suppliers and GE Erlanger Service Center to determine documented causes and solutions.
• Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the service center.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and CoPQ

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering is preferred.
