Process Engineer

Location: Elizabethtown, KY

Searching for a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and optimization of processes. Your focus is on ensuring that the operations run safely, efficiently, and produce high-quality products. This role requires an individual who can troubleshoot operational challenges, lead continuous improvement, and ensure that the plant's equipment and processes are updated and certified.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years in manufacturing, with a specific focus on glass manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), knowledge of quality systems such as TS/IATF 16949, and familiarity with PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and APQP processes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team, influence others, and present solutions effectively to various stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that further the efficiency, safety, and quality of manufacturing processes. Use tools like Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, and 8D for problem-solving.
  • Equipment Management: Research, recommend, and oversee the integration of equipment upgrades to streamline operations.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and guide technical and operating personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
  • Leadership: Exhibit core leadership values in all interactions and responsibilities, from strategic planning to daily operations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain essential documentation, ensuring the company remains compliant with internal and external certifications.
  • Oversee Process Development and Monitoring: Oversee and enhance the processes and operating systems for glass product manufacturing.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and rectify process-related challenges, ensuring cost-efficient, simplified, and safe operations.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
