About The Position


The Process Excellence Manager II will support process improvement efforts by facilitating the development and implementation of standardized processes and documented requirements. Identifies performance improvement opportunities, assists with process implementation and the development of process excellence procedures to improve overall operational efficiencies. The incumbent will analyze and model existing business processes and procedures; identify areas for improvement and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics. The incumbent will work closely with functional areas to provide and ensure the accessibility of data sources for program reporting and process monitoring as needed.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Trains and coaches’ teams on identifying process performance metrics and improving qualitative and quantitative efficiencies.
  • Participates in a mission driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
  • Facilitates stakeholder meetings for program and process initiatives; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders as needed to develop and implement streamlined processes.
  • Prepares and presents recommendations and findings in a visual, customer focused manner.
  • Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
  • Analyzes business processes; gathers data, performs root cause analysis and performance trending to develop appropriate process control changes and to measure improvement efforts.
  • Provides guidance and training to staff regarding process changes. Prepares materials and assists with trainings as needed.
  • Collaborates with the EPMO on disseminating information, driving standardization and collaboration, and resolving interdepartmental issues.
  • Participates in projects aimed at removing non-value-added activities thereby reducing waste, improving delivery and building operational efficiencies.
  • Develops and documents operational and program processes, data definitions, performance metrics and reporting formats related to processes throughout the organization.
  • Analyzes regulatory updates and guidelines to identify impact on processes, reporting, and policy and procedures.
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Supports the prioritization and implementation of process change requirements based on the critical and high priority project needs.


Experience & Education


  • 3 years of relevant work experience including health care regulatory, managed care, compliance, process improvement and/or quality experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 2 years of experience in project management, health care administration or facilitation.
