Private Equity Business Development Associate

Dartmouth Partners is thrilled to be working with one of the leading private equity investors in the B2B software vertical as they seek to add an Associate to their growing Origination team in San Francisco. The European firm has been on an impressive growth trajectory and is continuing its growth within the US. Despite market conditions in much of 2022, the firm completed nearly $30bn in deal value and has continued to raise impressive amounts of capital to deploy.

As a member of the Origination team, your focus will be on sourcing B2B SaaS investment opportunities across the stage spectrum ranging from LMM/MM through to upper large-cap.

This is a phenomenal opportunity for a business development / origination professional, or an investment professional with heavy sourcing experience, to join one of the leading names in enterprise software investing.

Responsibilities

• Competitive landscape coverage, researching and evaluation potential investment leads
• Source B2B SaaS investment opportunities for both platform acquisitions and portfolio add-ons
• Attend industry trade shows and advisor conferences
• Connect with CEOs, founders, and other influential stakeholders in the B2B SaaS ecosystem

Qualifications

• Robust network of contacts within the private equity sponsor community, ideally within B2B SaaS or tech adjacent verticals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• ~2-5 years of experience in private equity origination / business development capacity (deal sourcing specifically rather than fundraising)
